Campsite

Camping du Quinquis (pronounced Kan-Keese), is a small 3-star campsite set in 17-acres of mature parkland on the southern coast of Brittany, just over a mile from the beautiful sandy beaches at Le Pouldu.

It is privately owned by an English couple, Andrew and Carole, and has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere - ideal for family orientated holidays.

Campsite amenities include two large outdoor heated swimming pools (open from late May until early September), together with two children’s paddling pools and a spa pool - all free of charge. There are also two children's play areas, a football pitch, tennis courts and a small games room with pool tables. Laundry facilities are also available.

At reception, there is a small shop which will provide all the bare necessities. In high season, you can order bread or croissants here and collect them fresh the next morning !

In the evenings the bar area is host to weekly quiz nights, boules matches, occasional live music and other events. It is situated to one side of the campsite and the activities can rarely be heard - there are no disco's and noise is frowned upon after 11pm !

From mid-July until early September, the site also boasts a take-away restaurant run by Claude, a Parisian chef who has worked in some of the top hotels in Paris and New York and has won a coveted award from Michelin. You can choose from a wide menu of French and English dishes including children's meals... simply fantastic food ...

Suitablity For Children
The campsite offers a safe and secure environment for children as it is situated at the end of a short lane away from the main road. Bicycles with stabilisers and helmets are available for hire, and there are two seperate play areas. The children's pools are situated adjacent to the bar area so that they can remain supervised at all times whilst parents enjoy a quiet drink.

There is a popular children’s activity club during high season and just a few minutes walk down the lane is a small animal park where the children can see deer, donkeys, peacocks and other animals roaming freely.
